So what is the Moose Festival anyway??
It would be wrong if the North Country Chamber of Commerce didn't pay homage to one of the great creatures in our forests - the moose! Each year, the weekend before Labor Day in August we hold a series of events, full of fun, showcasing all the great things the North Country has to offer! For 23 years now, the North Country Chamber of Commerce has coordinated the Moose Festival to celebrate the largest of North Country animals-- the Moose! Come enjoy our country festival with family entertainment, great music and activities for all ages in the heart of a most peaceful and beautiful destination. The tapestry of mountains, lakes, forests and streams will take your breath away-- so much that you might not want to leave!! Paradise comes in many forms..
Each year, the North Country Moose Festival draws hundreds of people to the weekend-long events, including the classic car show, live entertainment, food and craft vendors, and even a moose calling contest!

Line-up of Events for
NEW this year is a free shuttle service provided by the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital! Look for signs as you come into Colebrook. There will be several lots for visitors to park in and then be shuttled in closer to the festivities of the Moose Festival Street Fair. We recommend parking at the largest lots on Route 3, or on Bridge St. The shuttle will start at 2:30 p.m. and will be making runs every 20-30 minutes until the end of the festival. There will be designated drop off and pick up points with signage to direct you. No need to worry about finding a good parking spot this year! Just sit back and enjoy being ushered downtown!

MOOSE FEST SHOWCASE:
Roger Irwin has once again provided us with a fantastic moose photo for the front of our promotional piece for the Moose Festival! His incredible nature photography can be found on his website's gallery: http://www.rogerirwinphotos.com/. You'll also find him at a booth at both the Colebrook and Canaan Moose Festival sites, displaying his works of art. Roger helps to judge the photo contest in Canaan and the moose calling contest, as well. We thank him for his efforts!
This year we have developed a rack card instead of a brochure. As such, all event and sponsor information will be found on this page. Other sponsor benefits will be available, as well. The rack card will be distributed to select NH and VT welcome centers, as well as some local "hot spots".
