Preparations are currently underway for the North Country’s signature event, the annual Moose Festival.
This year, the two-day event will be held on Friday, August 24 and Saturday, August 25, with activities in Colebrook, New Hampshire, Canaan, Vermont, and Pittsburg, New Hampshire. Over the years, the Moose Festival has proven to be a huge favorite among both locals and visitors. It’s been held annually since 1991 and has been named the best festival in New Hampshire.
The Moose Festival will feature a moose-calling competition, moose chili tasting, moose "hunt", moose-themed sip and creates, and the opportunity to look for moose in some of the area’s best-known moose hotspots.
But the Moose Festival is much more than just a celebration of the region’s most iconic creature. It’s also a celebration of the culture of New Hampshire’s North Country, one of the most culturally-vibrant places in all of New England.
