Spring in the North Country
Spring in the North Country brings a mix of snow and mud on the ground, taking place from the end of March/early April to the end of May. It varies from year to year, but inevitably results in "Mud Season". This time of year, the locals spruce up the towns, and their homes and businesses, start seeds indoors and plant their gardens around Memorial Day weekend when all signs of frost are gone. It's not uncommon to get a late spring snowstorm though! Old Man Winter just tends to hang around a little longer in the Great North Woods...
